For this Favorites For Friday I'd like to hear all about your favorite genes of books. What is your go to genre when you are looking for something to read? Also, why is it your favorite genre and how did you discover that this is your favorite genre?
My favorite genre would have to be romance and I'll read practically any book as long as it has a little romance in it. I find that this offers me the opportunity to actually dive into a lot of different genres because romance can happen in any setting from action, to thriller, sci-fi, horror, western, historical, and even paranormal book genres. I have so many different genres to choose from while still enjoying my favorite genre of books. Now I'd like to hear all about your favorite genres!

Today I would like to hear about all the things you have been reading over the weekend, whatever it may be. It could range from things to a novel, an article, a self help, or how to book. What types of things to you love to read? You can discuss it, review it, or tell us all about it. At the bottom of the page I talked about the book I was reading over the weekend. Yesterday I finished the first installment of the series "In Darkness We Must Abide" and I just could not put it down the whole time I was reading it. It was a thrilling gothic read that I wanted to devour as fast and as slow as I could. I wanted to know what happens next but didn't want it to end at the same time. Rhiannon Frater's novel seemed to me reminiscent of other novels comparable to that of Anne Rice and her first novel enticed me to buy her second novel and I''ll probably get the all the books in her series as well. I'm excited to read the second novel but sad to see it end.
Let me know all about your favorite childhood books. What is the first book you can recall that started your love for books and helped you to become the avid reader you are today.
